Description
Rapeseed Honey - A Traditional Polish Honey
Rapeseed Honey is one of the most popular honeys in Poland. Polish rapeseed honey is one of the earliest honeys produced; the bees collect nectar from rapeseed flowers in spring. Rapeseed honey is also known as white honey because of its very fast crystallisation and its change of colour to white. Being an unusual kind of honey, rapeseed honey sometimes starts to crystallise while still in the combs in the hive. Thanks to the wide use of rapeseed in the economy, Poland offers plenty of forage for bees in the form of rapeseed fields – particularly in the Lublin region and in Roztocze, where farmland predominates. This is why rapeseed honey is one of the most popular traditional Polish honeys.
Rapeseed Honey - health-promoting properties:
- Recommended in the treatment of circulatory system conditions, heart muscle failure and atherosclerosis.
