Dandelion Honey , as the name suggests, is obtained from dandelions. Despite the great popularity of dandelion flowers, dandelion honey is very difficult to obtain. It is also called May honey, because then the dandelion blooms abundantly.
Dandelion Honey Properties:
- Used for liver, stomach and kidney problems, as well as in states of reduced immunity.
- Supports the digestive system.
- It is also used in diseases of the heart, gallbladder, kidneys, bladder, rheumatic complaints and diseases of the urinary tract.
Color: From cream to light yellow to intense orange. Most often found in a light yellow shade
Taste: Very sweet, slightly cloying. It is considered one of the sweetest varietal honeys in Poland.
Fragrance: Noticeable aroma of dandelion flowers.
Storage: Dry and shaded place (temp. 8-18 C)
Flowering time: May
Crystallization: Quite quickly (within a few weeks) and unevenly, into fine, spreadable crystals
